Shortlord is a Hamburg hip-hop and Caribbean artist — roots in French Guiana, Chicago on his father's side — and the owner of Chosenfewrecords since 2006.
Racines en Guyane française, avec une lignée caribéenne aussi vers la Martinique et Sainte-Lucie. Américain du côté de son père — Chicago. Grandi à côté de la base militaire en Hesse. Shortlord vient du hip-hop hambourgeois depuis le milieu des années 90 — première heat sur « Ya Ready? » de 2ruff, puis l'ère or Nana et MTV avec The Fight. Il a aidé à bâtir la scène Boogiepark, soutenu Jentown Crhyme / 187 avec la distribution Rough Trade, et fondé Chosenfewrecords en 2006, qu'il possède encore. De l'underground — toujours indépendant.
Shortlord is the owner of Chosenfewrecords. Earlier, he sparked the idea for Black Angel Records — founded by Eric I.Q. Gray. They released The Prophets Empire's "The Fight" on Black Angel before it was picked up by BMG, with massive MTV rotation in Germany 1998/1999.
